"Overall the place is very nice place but there are some expectations you need to manage & issues the hotel needs to address. Expectations: - Hotel advertises shared resources, so you may need to travel to other hotels/buildings on premises to access those facilities i.e hot tubes, arcade - pool looks great but the water park is far superior. the pool closes a few hours after the park so you only have a small window to take advantage of it if you go to park. - you can’t charge a lot of the activities to room & staff are not open about what you can do at hotel. You will need your card as they also don’t take cash. - not all activities are available & we only got a message after booking about what wasn’t available. You may need to be strategic about when you come if there is a specific activity you want to do. Issues: - There are maintenance issues. Our toilet door knob broke, the fridge was humming loudly & we couldn’t find where to turn it off. There were other small things and it just built up to feeling that someone needed to do some work. - the rooms need better sound proofing as we could hear everything from floor above & corridor. Someone checked in upstairs & we could hear their phone getting messages at night. We had a great stay & the resort facilities are still part of the cabanas package. I just hope that it improves so the hotel matches the overall resort."

"I have travelled around the world and stayed in many 5 Star hotels but The Palace at Sun City is the best I have stayed by a long shot. The building is out of this world and the Staff will treat you like royalty...You are really in a Palace...Highly recommended!"

"Great place for families with young kids. Heated pool, water slides and many other activities. The chalet looked like it either just built or recently renovated. Would definitely recommend and return to The Kingdom Resort"

"The hotel is tired and in dire need of a refresh. The bathroom in the room especially is in desperate need of an upgrade. On a positive note, the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast buffet. "

"Everything was very good. the staff were attentive and catered for your every need. The hotel has a good selection of restaurants and of course there is the casino. There is also a nice pool with a bar and a food oulet. The only gripe I did have was that the hot water was seldem more than tepid. I reported this on occassions but to no avail. A short walk away is a shopping mall with more eateries and shopping."

"Very disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk was not aware of our reservation. We had to spend more than 15 minutes proving that we had indeed booked a room at this hotel. Once we finally accessed the room, several issues became apparent. There were no towels available, and when we asked for assistance, the staff was unable to help, forcing us to find towels ourselves. The overall cleanliness of the room was poor, with cockroaches present, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was no soap provided in the shower. This stay was far below acceptable standards in terms of service, organization, and hygiene."
