It felt wonderful to be able to come back to this hotel at the end of a long day. The staff and management really go all out to make guests feel at home. The rooms have very comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms! Meals are also very nice - and again, it was so comforting not to have to go out again at the end of the day. They excel in hospitality and they are just off the M74 and close to a 24- hour gas station. About a ten minute walk or short drive up the street, there is a variety of shops. That includes a lively bakery. I can recommend the iced gingerbread, but other things looked equally tasty. Nice to take back to the room for tea.
