Absolutely immaculate units. Very spacious. We were upstairs and it was like being up in the tree tops with the lovely trees. Personally this is one of the cleanest motels ive been in and lots of space for children to run around outside.

Very tidy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did find the dog barking annoying as it continued for some time. We would recommend this Motel for anyone staying in Motueka on the Great Taste Trail. Thanks 6 Bikers

Hmm… staff wasn’t that friendly to start with. Room and bed are ok, bathroom cabinets handles are rusty.

This is a value for money complex. The swimming pool was a great asset in this glorious summer weather. A quiet location away from the main road, with plenty of space and lovely playground for children. Very welcoming and friendly staff.

Basic but reasonable
The room is very basic with some odd configurations of the sink in the kitchenette and also the placement of the soap dispenser in the bathroom makes the sink difficult to use. The rooms are not the most up to date but OK and reasonable enough and enough if you just need a place to sleep for a night or two. The host was lovely and greeted us with a fresh bottle of milk which was nice.

quiet and spacious. Becoming rundown and rough around the edges. The block our unit was in appeared to be inhabited by welfare recipients including very young children. We would have appreciated being accommodated in another part of the complex.

Thank you for your review. We do understand what you are saying, but with wooden floor between upstairs and downstairs this is a continuing problem.We have spent big money on trying to sound proof this but nothing seems to work. Hopefully this wont stop you from returning.

Very helpful owners. Spacious unit. Shower water pressure good, but shower rose was a bit low for a 6ft tall person. Quiet location, looked like a good kids play area and plenty of room for kids to run around. Free use of washing machine was appreciated.

We were in an older unit, there are some new ones. Very clean and partly refurbished inside, but kitchen cupboards and wardrobes old and smelt musty. Free use of washing machine and washing lines with pegs thoughtfully available. Facilities if you have children very good with play area and the pool. On the downside it is quite a long hike (15-20 mins) to town shops cafes and restaurants. The location is part residential part, rural (overlooking orchards) but some light industrial units near by, though there was no problem with any noise.

Tired and needs updating
Sadly the units we stayed in at the back looked like they had been opened to rip off summer tourists. There was general waste lying on the ground in the grass including a winter coat. Main bed was old and needs replacing urgently. Shower base was crumbling. On the up side improvements seem to be happening in parts of the complex. Sadly the back part of the complex is no garden motel.

The family suite we stayed in was spacious and well outfitted for the price. However, the bathroom shower could use a refit and you could hear every footsteps the people in the room above us made. The kids loved the pool and the unlimited wifi was great. Overall a nice four day stay.

Our room didn't resemble the picture at all. No Air Conditioning was a big problem in the heat. Just as well we were busy both nights, and back after dark when it had cooled somewhat, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to sit inside at all. Overall the unit had modern furnishings and was crisp looking. The bathroom however needs to be updated. Even though it was clean, it looked less than ideal. Even painting the room would improve it somewhat.

Spacious and relaxing stay
The owners Carol and Vince were very welcoming, and the large property was in good order. The rooms were in the process of being updated/remodeled. The 2nd level room had not been modified, but was in good condition and clean. There were several laundry stations about the property which were free for guest to use, and plenty of space to hang clothing to dry. The units sit back from the street entrance and quiet. The furniture was comfortable, and the bedding was fine. During the day the room had wonderful airflow throughout, but at night when the breeze laid down I felt the room could have used a fan to circulate the air to make it more comfortable. It was a level walk into Motueka CBD, and took me about 20-25 mins to do so. Townshends was about a 15-20 min. walk to Toad Hall. There are 2 markets, a New World, and a Coutsown at each end of town. There were many choices for dining in the area. The motel had bbq’s available for guests to use, as well as the full assortment of plates, bowls, and cooking utensils in the room. I had a relaxing stay, and was more than comfortable overall for my needs. There is also a nice pool to swim in and enjoy the sunshine.

The property is a bit dated, we were told it is getting a facelift in the next 12 months. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was there and if we are ever back in Motueka we would stay there again. Although the single bed was a probably a bit small for our tall 14 year old whose feet hung over the end lol

The staff were lovely and the gentleman who greeted us even made time to talk to my daughter which made her feel special and welcome. There was playground and a pool close to the rooms to keep her busy. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. Nice quiet location too.

Nice and basic
We have stayed for one night. The unit includes all that you need. Very nice host, who gave us complimentary milk and offered free washing machine usage (although the drier costs 1 dollar half an hour and didnt do the job.

Good stop
Was here for work at the nearby airport. Really good value for a business trip. Would also work well for backpacking groups that just need a place to freshen up. Our room had 4 beds for around 150$ NZ a night. So thats nice. Well equipped kitchen. Its not fancy by any means. But it's clean and cheap.

Nice Stay
nice spacious accommodation and the lodges are in a huge area. It was a shame that it was too far out of town for us to walk anywhere so we had to go and buy groceries so that we could cook for ourselves which wasnt a hardship but would know on any return visit to take groceries to the lodge with us. Very nice couple who run the place. They were friendly and very helpful for which we thank them. They live on the property so would be available if needed
