"Fabulous location only 10-15 minutes walk to Tahunanui Beach which is very tidal but safe for children as at 2 hours off high tide is not too deep for children to enjoy a swim. There is a shower and tap near the Beach cafe for showering off sand after our swim. Our 2 bedroom unit is lovely with sliding door opened to let in the sea breeze on a hot sunny day and picnic table outside to enjoy a beer and dinner in the warm evening sun. The receptionists are so friendly and welcoming. As we had arrived 1/2 an hour before check in time, my husband and I went to the beach and had an ice cream at the Beach café which is a popular place to stop off. The holiday park gets the aeroplane noise from Nelson airport, the planes fly overhead but it is not too intrusive although, the first flight this morning was at 6 o’clock which is fine if you are early risers so for me, this is not an issue at all. It seems perfect for families with a wonderful playground and lovely grassy area still busy with motor homes and caravans despite the season finishing with the return of children to school. Heated towel rail and plunger coffee provided definitely impressed me as many places do not provide either. Fishy at Roto, a recommended fish and chip shop for an easy dinner is only 3 minutes drive away. Highly recommended place for a relaxing stay in Nelson, so close to Tāhunanui Beach."

"Beautiful setting near the national park. Friendly staff with good coffee at the office. Comfortable beds and clean toilet/shower facilities, although shared and a short walk from the cabin."

"We were on a queen room. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. It has recently been refurbished to a good standard. There is a microwave, coffee plunger and crockery but washing up all as to be done in the bathroom sink which is a bit odd."

"VERY clean. Convenient to town. We had a free standing suite with out own bathroom, refrig and tea pot. Also access to main housr kitchen and laundry facilities. First experience with a Hostel, and wont be our last."
