Jo and Frank welcomed us upon arrival with tips and information about My Buller and the village. The were very friendly and attentive to the guests… which made the stay feel like we were sharing a house with family and close friends. They really created the best atmosphere for their guests and I would not hesitate to come and stay longer next time. Common area has a lounge with tv, reading and board games. But if you are more about chatting while sipping a drink, the area also has a nice kitchen with all utensils needed, so you can have a nice night in after an intense day of snow activities with family or friends around the table. Dry room is a must!!!! Our jackets were always dry, warm and ready to go every time we went out to explore the area.

The lodge is a totally fabulous, family-friendly place to stay whilst at Mt Buller. Jo and Frank go out of their way to introduce guests to each other, fostering a wonderful sense of community and new friends. The communal area is sparkling clean and a perfect place for meals to be made whilst the kids play, chat and recharge for the next session on the snow. The beds in the rooms are soft and comfy. We love love loved our stay and will be back! 5 star accommodation on the mountain

Amber Lodge was perfect for our friend groups first ski holiday. Our newly refurbished room was warm and cozy, and the hosts Jo and Frank are extremely warm and inviting. Will be back again!

A Mt Buller Must

The host is very friendly and greeted us on arrival. The kitchen area is spacious and clean, you could cook any kinds of food and bakery as they have all the culinary and kitchen equipped. Best of the best is they have rice cooker. A house built and run by a family which has relatives all over the world.

Stayed here during the off-season and it felt like home. Beautiful lounge area with the best sofa in the world, we unintentionally slept on it with the TV still on during our first night! (Sorry Frank 🙏) The kitchen is equipped with everything you will ever need to be free and get creative with your cooking if you wish to do so. We cook everyday before/after skiing. The whole place is very cosy and the heaters keep things comfortable. Sometimes it gets chilly at night but it’s just the weather guys, it’s bearable if you wear thick pyjamas to sleep. Frank and Jo were very sweet. They gave us their utmost attention throughout our stay. They were such heroes and always seemed to appear out of nowhere whenever we were in need of help. It kept raining heavily during our stay, and no snow but our stay was still great. Frank is accommodating, always checked on us whenever we bumped into each other. Met Jo during check in, she’s a lovely person as well. They are a great couple and will be your hosts. Do not hesitate to book with them, anytime of the year!

A refurbished home away from home
Great facilities- room was as described, and the shared kitchen - living were a standout! Everything is recently refurbished and sparkly clean. Living has big windows with beautiful outlook onto snow gums. Jo and Frank - live-in owners - went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed - even helped with some boot repairs! We just wish we were staying for longer! Highly recommend.

Great lodge with wonderful hosts!
Our family of 5 shared an en-suite room and, while the room was just big enough for us, the general area made the visit very comfortable. The kitchen is well designed and roomy, with the dining and comon area spacious and welcoming.

Great place to stay at the snow.
Reasonable price, great hosts, lovely common room. I will be coming back here again. We shared a four person bunk room between the two of us and that was pretty comfortable. Might get a bit crowded with 4 big adults, but defintely manageable.

Stylish & convenient Mount Buller accommodation
We really enjoyed the Amber lodge. Conveniently located to the Mount Buller town square, recently renovated lodge. Our family room & ensuite bathroom were well appointed & modern. The central kitchen & living space is very stylish & clean! Best of all was the very welcoming host - Jo & her family. All you need for a great family snow experience.

Nice Little Lodge
Nice Refurbished Lodge located a short walk from the village is a good choice if you are looking for a quiet cosy place to stay with a very affordable price. The management was very friendly and great company. The only thing I could recommend would be a greater variety of board game, however Overall I recommend staying at Amber lodge

Lovely neat hostel five minutes' walk from village centre. We had the place almost to ourselves and it was cosy, warm and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could need and is very clean. Rooms and bathrooms also very clean. Still under the last steps of renovations so a few little rough bits, but nothing that will bother you. One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at.

We had a room with shared bathroom room smallish but clean, neat and comfy bunk beds and good pillows. Enough shared toilets and showers. Nice kitchen. Good for people who are out a lot and just need bed and place to make their own meals.

Over charged for a small bunk room , no hanging room . No reception , no one to go through safety or facilities . The only saving point was it was warm and close to the snow facilities . I will not be staying there again .. These people hold you at ransom when it is peak season , the facility does not warrant the price .

Your ultra basic entry level accommodation on the mountain. Tiny room with 2 bunk beds - sleeps 4. shared bathroom (2 showers & 2 separate toilets). Bottom sheet (& towel) costs extra. Was charged a room rate (per night) PLUS an additional charge for an extra guest, although we only occupied one room. Bit confusing.
