"Amazing hotel! Comfortable, quiet, cozy and very clean. There was a private deck in the back with tables, chairs, hammock and a fan. The bed was comfortable with fluffy white comforters. There’s a private bar and coffee shop downstairs. It is located in the very heart of San Ignacio and a walking distance from the market. Service was amazing with nice and amazing staff! "

"If you are looking for an “authentic” jungle experience in a more rustic/casual setting then this is the place for you. We stayed in the Premier Treehouse room and loved it, especially the suspended outdoor day-bed on the screened-in porch. The cleaning crew kept our suite immaculate. Overall the dining staff were friendly and down-to-earth, and the food was excellent. Note that if you are staying in room #17 it is at the bottom of a long set of stairs, which was daunting at first but by the end of our stay we actually appreciated the regular exercise. We were also provided with a WhatsApp contact, which made asking questions throughout our stay very easy. I want to give a shout out to our birding guide, Selvin Cassasola. He also guided us around Xunantunich and he was just excellent."

"Clean room, friendly staff, and we enjoyed the restaurant on site. Walking distance to the Cahal Pech ruins & within pickup range for the shuttle for both of our excursions. We also booked the shuttle through the hotel for airport pickup in Belize city and it was flawless. "

"I stayed in a King Deluxe room at thought it was great value. The staff were all excellent, the hotel restaurant was great and the pool was large. Plus, the location was ideal (close enough to walk to the market / downtown but removed enough to be quiet) and there's a large grocery store directly across the street if you want snacks / sunscreen etc. I would certainly stay at Midas Belize again."

"This is perhaps or ninth stay at this property. We had not been to Belize since 2022, and I can say that the quality of service and the property is even better than before - and before it was fantastic. Dory assisted with our room selection and checked on us our entire trip. She was accommodating and patient with us! Since 2022, there is a whole new resort on the property - the Banks - which comes with a new restaurant - Humo. While we preferred the food at the Grove and Don Totino's, the atmosphere at Humo is insanely beautiful. Indeed, the entire property is lovely with a great hike to a gazebo which gives you a lovely view of the mountains and the "Sleeping Giant." There are other hikes on property and I understand they will be offering yoga in the future. If you do not have a car, there are great trips that you can take, including a Ceremonial Cave (which I have done in the past and it was quite cool) tour, expeditions to Mayan ruins, cave tubing or kayaking, and cooking classes. There are different room types so check into what you most prefer. We have to been to most and like all but one that is too near the road and road noise by reception. It is a slice of paradise in the middle of the jungle that I cannot recommend enough!"
