Mount Pleasant Holidays

I liked this property for the convenience of a single traveler. Great view ( at least from my room) and the food was excellent. There is a lot of pride into the presentation of the meals. Rooms should have little refrigerators to keep at least drinks, water or medicine in them. People get thirsty in the middle of the night and want a bottle of water. You have to request this for a small fee, which is not terrible, but feel that one should already be in the room.

Bartenders at this property were the star of the show, however the deinks are very sweet. They made this trip ok. The property is ok. Lovely to have 2 pools given that weather prevented us feom going into the ocean. Food were ok. Breakfast was the same for all 4 days. Dining room dinner was more or less the same. Kept looking for bahamian cuisine but could not find any. Saw jerk chicken and pork but the chicken was bland. No seasoning just smoke and the pork was chewy. Loved the coffee counter. Staff was not friendly. Asked when i checked in if i was celebrating anything. Told them yes my birthday, and they said they would do something nice, nothing was done. It was extremely hard to get a reservation. Tried on saturday and could only get for Monday. Booked a room with partial ocean view but was given a room that overlooked construction and the ocean could barely be seen through the trees. The AC could not be adjusted and the shower was broken along with the drain (202). I asked for a room change and was given a better one (521). I will not be back to this resort once was enough.

Friendly staff, amazing food

Resort felt like a hotel vs a resort. The beds were very firm. Honestly the hardest bed I ever slept on. We switch rooms to ocean front hoping bed would be softer and it was not. The food was good and the private island was very nice. Shows at nights were lacking. Overall experience was just ok. I wouldn’t return to this property.
