"Had a nice stay at the hotel with my wife and daughter, staff are so friendly, room and common spaces are very clean. As for the food & beverages, it can be better, it is below average. The pool with a swim up bar is for adults only, which make it difficult to spend time with your kid while enjoying a drink. Overall, it was a good experience."

"This is quite frankly the nicest, most comfortable, and modern hotel I've ever stayed in here. It was BEAUTIFUL and serene, and spotless. This is a beachfront property and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff: Nirodha (manager) was very friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and the chef turned out delicious meals! Please stay here, I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed."

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. "The owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. "
