Mountain Pine Ridge Holiday Rentals

"We loved our stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. The staff of this place and their willingness to help was a key factor. When my bag was delayed and then I get the bag with wet mildew smelling clothes, the staff immediately did a laundry load for me and took care of it. This was after hours and within just two hours. I could not have been more thankful. They arranged tours, called cabs and even walked my bags to another hotel. Overall, quiet and clean property. It’s not updated but because it’s not heavily used like other places, it’s clean. I would use it again as a home base in the future. "

"We really enjoyed our stay under the canopy. The pool was gorgeous & the food was amazing. We enjoyed the lazy river & proximity to Xunantunich. The road into the resort is rough, so be prepared for 5 miles of dirt/gravel at the end. We arrived at night, which I don’t recommend."

"We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa, the tone was set the moment we arrived. We checked in late and I went to go run in to give our information, our server Robby insured that he needed to greet us properly and asked all our guests to come in for a welcome drink which we thoroughly enjoyed, the kitchen was also waiting on to offer us dinner before they went home for the evening. We stayed in blue morpho which was close to the pool and bar. There was accessible parking. Staff was accompanying to all our needs whether it was supplying us with a cooler or packing us breakfast to go for our excursion. Please keep in mind you are in the JUNGLE, there are bugs, they are hard to avoid and they will be in your room no matter how nice. Please watch for ticks, two members of our party got ticks from the hammock. There is jungle noise all night, yelling weasels, curious monkeys. Enjoy these rare moments you may never get to witness again. The property had more amenities we weren’t able to take advantage of such as the bird tower but I recommend you do if time allows. Property is very close to mountain pine ridge park. San Ignacio town is approximately 20 minutes away so I recommend a car if you plan on visiting town. My only complaint is that 2/4 days we noticed housekeeping left our door unlocked after leaving. "

"Our stay was AMAZING!! Beautiful property!! The BREAKFAST was sooo good!! We were away for lunch everyday, sadly! And dinner was Ok! I specifically book riverview #4 for the outside shower and tub. The ONLY recommendation I’d have is to find a way to cover the tub so we don’t have to clean it out before each use. I wasn’t even able to use it during my time there. But the shower was great! "

"Bungalows are private. Flowers and towel art every day. Great food. The garden walk and open air greenhouse was amazing and very educational. Great for families and lots of options for excursions or just relax by the pool or kayak on the river."
