"Great location with wildlife right up close. Room was spacious but a bit old fashioned. Pool is tiny but was still pleasant and staff were helpful. Reasonably well equipped to make some snacks or breakfast but if you provide a coffee machine you should provide more than 2 pods."
"The best thing about this property is the location. A great spot.
We had stayed here multiple times however this time under the new ownership was appalling. It is such a shame that it has been run into the ground as it used to be great.
From the time we tried to check in with no one on reception, then a grumpy man who didn't speak english arrived and to our surprise he worked there, we thought he was a guest.
We checked in and the room was spacious, with a relatively new looking bathroom. Not the cleanest unfortunately though.
The room had a toaster but no plates or knives so pretty pointless.
There were cups and a tea towel but no washing liquid.
There was a games room which in itself was a challenge to get into. Turns out you need a special key but no one tells you this. Once in it was ok but the pool table leans and the fuzball table has a main.player missing legs.
We couldn't use the pool for the first two days as it was filthy and the lead up to it had rubbish and a dirty nappy. We asked multiple times for it to be cleaned but it wasn't. It was only when we requested a discount as we couldn't use the facilities that they got someone to clean it.
The kids play area had empty stubbies and rubbish all around it, again asked multiple time over there days, it was still the same when we left.
The care factor for their business is zero. The grounds are unkept as are the staff, the reception guy had the same clothes on for the whole time we were there. Avoid this place."
"Spectacular accommodations! Very cozy, great shower, fluffy towels, doors that open onto a deck. Property had kangaroos, lamas, peacocks! Highly recommend!"
"Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Awonga Cottage. It’s a spacious 3 bedroom conveniently located about 1 km from Hall’s Gap General store. There is parking just outside the cabin. Plenty of room in a well equipped kitchen and 2 living areas. We cooked dinner each night. A lovely large balcony with a bar table and stools plus an outdoor coach made breakfast next to nature very enjoyable. We can see Boronia Peak at the back of the property. Wifi was good. We were able to sign into our Netflix account to enjoy our shows in the evening. There are 2 bedrooms each with a double bed. One of these beds is quite squeaky. There is a washer and dryer which was very useful and laundry detergent was provided. Contactless check in and out. Too easy. "
