Luxury for great value

wonderful one night stay on route to jodphur from Delhi. The room was perfect and the gardens and swimming pool beautiful and well maintained. Only small improvements could be made- wifi not available in rooms and restaurant is lacking a little in atmosphere but outdoor dining is lovely. Restaurant could do some regional dishes. We had a great tour of the haveli over the road and another one in town, the one across the road being our favourite. Although the price for a one hour tour we thought was a little expensive- 400rs plus entrance fees. Perhaps this could be negotiated. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel and would have loved to stay another night. It was the best welcome we have had yet from a hotel in north India- bindi on arrival and the next day the family who own the hotel chatted with us while we waited for our breakfast to arrive.

No frills hotel. Lots of tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast just toast and butter with jam served in the room. Quite central to Colaba area.

Reasonable for it's location!

The hotel is reasonably priced for its location in Colaba. Our experience with the staff was positive. The negatives had to do with the level of cleanliness in the hotel—cockroaches every now and then, and slightly soiled sheets. The breakfast, also, was disappointing—only toast.

Vale por la zona, no más que eso

En pleno barrio de Colaba, lo cual nos pareció un plus, más por el tránsito de la ciudad. No repetiria, no es un hotel comodo y parece abandonado. La ventaja es que no es ruidoso (milagroso para India).

Was a relatively clean bathroom... New towels and new linen would be good plan! My sheets werent particularly clean..And no one cleaned my room in 3 days..never had that occur in a hotel before! Nonetheles, the wifi was good, the location was great and it provided a haven from the busy city...

Not worth the amount

They put me in a room which was near to the kitchen and it was extremely noisy. I requested for a change, they did provide another room, but the washroom taps were leaking, the sheets weren't clean. There was dust on the furniture, the towel was hardly washed. I was hugely disappointed.

Best value for money in Mumbai!!!

Bentleys Hotel is my home away from home. I have stayed there for at least 10 years and admire the friendly staff, the privacy, the locations (in several stately apartment blocks) which gives the place a nice feeling of being close to the Mumbaites. This is the perfect place for solo travellers and individual travellers. The location simply cannot be better, near to the best shopping and some of the most famous sights, and practically in the backyard of The Taj Mahal Hotel. I don't believe you can find a hotel offering better value for money in Mumbai!

Small, old, moldy room. Great location. Friendly staff. No view as advertised. Would look for better hotel in same neighborhod if I were to return. Breakfast is just instant coffee, tea, toast made of white bread, butter and jam brought to your room.

Dont stay here!

we stayed here for 5 nights. When we first arrived we got a detached bathroom even though we've ordered with bathroom inside. So we had to pay extra just to change that. They didn't clean our rooms for 5 days (!) and the staff were very non service minded. The breakfast which was served in the room was two toasted bread each with jam that had ants in it. The room itself is clean but since they didnt clean our room on a daily bases the bedlinen and towels got dirty very quickly. The bathroom was very unpleasant and had a lot of black mold. The location though is the most convenient thing about this hotel.
