My only turn off was when the hotel staff told me I couldn’t buy food outside of the hotel to bring it in.
That means I was restricted to only buying food from the hotel. This experience was strange and unheard of anyway.
My second experience was the hotel management acting like the Indian government by asking me to show proof of my legal rights to stay in the country and that included showing them my passport (normal), my FRO, University Identifications, Address verification and more.
I felt subjected to inhumane treatment and disrespected as an African international student visiting Mumbai for a good reason.
