"We have stayed here twice now. It is a small traditional hotel. Set at the edge of town, it has an unobstructed and amazing view of the valley and mountains. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. The room also came with a Allgäu-Walser-Card which was a great savings. Not sure if this was a special offer or a normal practice. "

"We chose to stay, having done so about 6 years ago, and as before this was a wonderful hotel in every way. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are large with comfy beds (we had a Mountain View room), and the breakfast is fantastic. We ate in the restaurant on one evening, which was really nice too. We used the hot tub and sauna every day, but being brits we aren’t so sure about the “nakedness” of this facility! Not for us…. "Beautiful area, of course we're in Austria! Traffic through the Fernepass was atrocious, which is right near Obsteig. Construction was in process across the road from hotel and the trucks that traveled the road all night that our room overlooked were very loud. No A/C so leaving windows open was a must. The furnishings looked to be very fancy in the 1930's, part of it's charm. Everything was very clean, though feather pillows need a little more stuffing. Loved the balcony for every room. Also,...

"The hotel was a great place to stay - it filled our needs and was a good value , clean and had a great staff . It is family run and a great find . Great location , beautiful scenery and friendly staff . Do not sleep on the breakfast - we have done a lot of travel and spent time at very expensive hotels - this breakfast is awesome . The owner / manager is a great host ( Andreas ) - highly recommend "

"The hotel is a perfect location to the shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the room was large, bright, and very clean. I stayed in the hotel with my wife and two children so the large room was perfect. The breakfast was awesome. There were many options to choose from and was perfect for the four us. "

"Hotel, rooms, restaurant, location, and staff were fabulous! We chose to stay in Fussen as part of our stop to see Neuschwanstein. Glad we did! As a family of with 2 teens, we had two rooms. Both rooms were great and uniquely decorated. We rented e-bikes from the hotel and rode throughout the area. We drove to Neuschwanstein. We enjoyed walking through Old Town and loved the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Will definitely return!"

"Excellent location. The halbpension was great value. Wonderful breakfast and Andre(?) , the food director, did an outstanding job at dinner. The spa is also a nice treat after a day of touring the castles. The place is huge and any kind of service is difficult to come by. Also our room in the Alpenrose section had a very strange layout…half the space was taken up by a large bathtub. "
