Good value for money

Overall, a standard Golden Tulip like the rest all over the world. Room was fine, exactly as expected. The breakfast buffet is very good. The location is next to a big mall. It was very good value for money.

Golden Tulip Muscat is situated very near two very nice malls and easy access to the highways. The onsite restaurant provides very good meals for reasonable prices. I didn’t have the breakfast, but it looked very good with plenty of options. We really enjoyed the rooftop pool and seating area with wonderful views of the ocean and surrounding city. The hum of the highway was somehow very soothing. Overall, we would recommend staying at the Golden Tulip Muscat.

I stayed two nights as a solo female traveler. I had an uncomfortable interaction with one of the male housekeeping staff. I went back to my room after being out, and the male staff asked me where I was from. I kindly stated where I'm from, and asked him back. He asked if I needed anything in my room, and I said NO. I had left my 'do not disturb' light on and the door sign to not come in and clean as well while I went to check out the pool on the rooftop. When I came back to retrieve my things to go to the pool, the male housekeeping staff was IN MY ROOM. I felt so uncomfortable! I let the front desk staff know, but they didn't seem to care. The second thing that happened to me was that I was sleeping, soundly, and I got a call to my hotel room at ~12:10 am. While I was in my slumber, I was trying to make sense of what the person calling was trying to tell me. He stated that I had not paid for my second night of my stay, and after a few minutes of trying to make sense of what he was saying, he found where I had paid, apologized, and told me I can go back to sleep. I was NOT able to go back to sleep, and I was extremely, extremely upset that I was woken up for something that could've not only waited until the next morning, but something that was also a mistake. I wouldn't recommend this location to stay. I didn't mention the dark, short hairs found around the base of the shower, but it appeared to be personal body hair. The cleanliness of this location needs some work.

Die Zimmer und das Hotel an sich echt gut , auch die mitarbeiter geben sich mühe. Das Frühstück ist Standart und ok für das man nicht gross weg muss . Aber es riecht bis in die obersten stockwerke nach essen durch die offene Bauweise . Ganz schlimm war 3 Tage nacheinander party auf dem Dach ind wenn man eine Suite im 6.Stock hat ist die Party direkt über einem und gefühlt mit im zimmer . Das geht dann auch nur bis 3 uhr morgens . Was 3 schlaflose nächte bedeutete . Sonst im grossen und ganzen hotel ok aber etwas ausserhalb .

Great hotel, convenient located in front of two malls and easy access to main Muscat attractions. Room was comfortable and clean, they gave us a free bottle of water every day. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of options, both Arabian and western dishes. I love the egg station and their coffee was also very tasty. Rooftop view is nice and there is a bar and pool. There is plenty of free parking available.

L'hôtel est extrêmement bien situé à proximité de grands Mall accessibles à pied, et à quelques minutes en taxi des principaux sites : Grande Mosquée, Royal Opéra et Musée des Arts, Musée d'histoire naturelle et à 20mn environ de la capitale Mascate. Tous les autres sites à visiter sont à environ entre 1h et 2h maximum de voiture. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et les soirées sur le rooftop très sympa. Situé à proximité des grandes voies de circulation, mais très calme, l'hôtel est idéal pour organiser tous les circuits d'une journée.
