Recognised for her prominent eyebrows and artistic talent, Frida Kahlo was immortalized in the 2002 movie Frida. Kahlo and Rivera lived in the residence from 1934 to 1940 alongside architect and friend Juan O’Gorman, who designed the houses. There is a fee to enter the museum, which is open Tuesday to Saturday or visit for free on Sundays. Note that there is an additional fee for taking photos. The Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo is in the southern part of the city, where it’s easily accessible by bus. Drive southwest for 9 miles (15 kilometres) to get to the museum from the city centre.
