Get a glimpse of what daily life was like for the average Mayan resident living here hundreds of years ago. See urns, carved stone statues and cooking utensils unearthed from sites around the city.
Study the model version of the city of T'ho, which stood here before the arrival of the Spanish. The model shows five pyramids that were dismantled shortly after the invasion. Stunning white limestone was used for the European-style constructions throughout the old center, such as the city’s main cathedral. The museum building is a beautiful part of the city’s history. Inaugurated in 1908, it initially served as the Federal Post Office.
