Hotels near Music Pass Trailhead

"Great place to stay. Lodge rooms have a gorgeous view of the Dunes - - nothing manmade between you and the Dunes except 1 road. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. The main bed was very comfortable. The pullout bed was much less comfortable but it's OK for a kid. We stayed here before the restaurant opened for the season, but they sell pizzas at the front desk. They also rented us sand sleds, and your rental is good for 24 hrs. My only tip is to bring earplugs for sleeping. The wall AC/heater unit kicks on and off throughout the night. Will absolutely stay here again next time we're visiting the Dunes."

"The only reason that I didn't give them four stars is that there was so much light on the front of the building that you could not sit on the chairs and see any stars. I assumed that a place called dark skies would have lights that are motion sensored or more dim so that you could take in the night sky, so we walked about a block down the road to see the stars. Also, the floors are very thin and we could hear every footstep from the neighbors upstairs. The room itself was fine. Very clean and lots of windows. The bed was really hard, but some people like this. "
