"Frozen burger patties.Bottled Caesar dressing ( so easy to make fresh) Not impressed with the restaurant at all. Unfortunately there is nowhere else to eat.
Hotel is very tired and rooms need to be renovated. Stayed for one night as we always
wanted check it out. Extremely disappointing Not worth the stop 👎"
"The room was clean, carpet was simple but clean. Most important thing was that the bed sheets, quilts and towels, were newish and clean. Washroom was nice, clean and well maintained. The hand soap was of high quality. Microwave and fridge were old but working. No hot water kettle. Not even in reception areas. Coffee and coffee machine was a joke. Breakfast upstairs was the highlight, very good and lots of options. My biggest gripe is the size of the room. Basically just barely big enough to fit a queen mattress.
Also some design choices :- who provides a metal chair inside a room. Why exactly you need two big mirrors in a tiny room ? Who slaps inch wide grout as a filling instead of wooden trim in washroom. Overall just a small quick place to crash for a night. Good overall."
"We recently stayed at Basecamp Resort in Revelstoke with a group of 16 people and, unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations.
We had booked two units-one accommodating 10 people and the other 6-which seemed ideal for our group size. However, we were surprised to find that the property allows only one parking spot per unit, regardless of occupancy. This meant 16 guests were limited to just 2 parking spots, which was highly impractical and inconvenient, especially in a destination where most guests rely on vehicles.
Inside the units, we also encountered several maintenance and service issues:
Bathroom door locks were not functioning, which is unacceptable for basic privacy.
During our two-night stay, no housekeeping service was provided.
We did not receive fresh towels at any point.
When we raised the towel issue with reception, we were told to collect them from the hot tub area. However, the towel cabinet there was completely empty, leaving us without a solution.
Overall, the lack of attention to guest needs, poor communication, and operational oversights made the stay frustrating—especially for a large group. While the location is decent and at times convenient, it was the only positive aspect of our experience.
We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues, particularly around parking policies, basic maintenance, and guest services. With some improvements, this property has potential-but as it stands, we left quite disappointed"
