This hotel has nice, larger rooms with kitchenettes and it is next to a large mall. The area seems safe and it is easy to get to other places from this hotel (except for the usual Nairobi traffic).

One of the finest hotel staffs I have ever encountered they were so warm and welcoming to my wife and I and when I return to Kenya I won’t even look for another place because I’m staying there

The hotel is centrally and conveniently located. Staff members were always helpful and promptly addressed queries or concerns. Generous food options available for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Nairobi. The hotel also offers tourist activities, but I would suggest skipping their city tour. Half the places listed on the tour were not covered in our tour and the tour itself seemed a bit ad hoc…maybe it was because our tour date coincided with one of the days of the Africa climate summit.

Staff Extortion
The hotel was great after the initial shock of the prison type atmosphere. I came to understand the metal detectors and barbed/electrical wire fencing were to protect. The people in the community were overwhelmingly kind. The bar and serving staff were also overwhelmingly kind. The main issue I had was with some of the men on the front desk staff that attempted to extort money from me. I reserved a junior suite which is said to accommodate 4 persons. I booked my reservation for 1 person as I was traveling alone. However, I have 1 fried that came to eat and drink with me and came up to my room. The men at the front desk proceeded to call me and tell me I have an unauthorized person in the room and I will have to pay $50 to them. They claimed this was a company policy. No such policy existed as I asked for them to show me the policy and they could not. They then said it was a $20 and they would put it on my bill. I refused. This fraud really put a stain on an otherwise beautiful trip. Those men should not be working for Best Western.

This issue about the joiner was brought to my attention and I asked the team not to apply any charges as guest are supposed to be briefed on the joiner policy at check in. Just to clarify this was not extortion and the joiner policy is actually indicated on the guest registration card which was signed on check in. All joiners are required to register at the reception for the security of our guests and as required by law and a standard charge is 50 usd is applied. Management reserves the right to discount or waive the said charge at its discretion. Once again receive my apology and I do hope that you give us a chance to host you again and give you a superior experience.Regards J Maingi Front Office Manager

I spent two weeks at best western Westlands. During the entire time I felt at home. The staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful. The hotel itself is new and modern and they allowed me to check out late at know fee. Lastly, I would like to thank Dominic, John, the entire front desk team and the dining team for an excellent service and attention to the customer satisfaction.

Perfect getaway!
My wife and I wanted the perfect getaway spot for our 17th wedding anniversary. After reading the impressive reviews about this hotel, we prayed and hoped that the hotel would be consistent with the reviews. We are so glad we made this choice! Many thanks to the hotel’s management for the lovely honeymoon treats, excellent food, neat environment and courteous staff. This hotel is an oasis in the middle of Nairobi. We felt very safe and the room was so quiet! The breakfast that is included is so delicious - omelet station, hot food, fresh bread, fruit, etc. .I would stay here again if I ever go back to Nairobi

Comfortable stay
It was a wonderful stay. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Wifi was stable and carpark is available though it was very tight.

The hotel is great. Food is good snd 24hrs. Early breakfast available. No problem for later checkout. Pick up from the airport no problem but it was not free. I would stay again
