"I booked for two nights stay but had to check out next day. Because the room smells so bad the bed smells bad pillow bed cover all dirty and roaches can be seen on kitchen counter top very dirty. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed. "

"the Wicked Walu seafood restaurant is a must do, food is excellent and location divine. if you don’t want an organised day out local express buses stop at the top of the entrance drive on the roadside and are great value. for adults there is an adult only pool and three happy hours a day on offer"

"The location is perfect, close to shops and restaurants. We loved the atmosphere, the veranda overlooking the flowing water feature which is very relaxing, and the vegetable garden is a plus. The owner, as well as his dogs, were friendly. The owner even recommended the jetty nearby where we took a dip the following day. This property is trully a hidden gem in the Sigatoka area! "I recently returned to Tambua Sands Resort earlier this month, my second visit, the first being 20 years ago and it was just as magical as I remembered. The resort is small and intimate, with just 21 bures, giving it a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. I stayed in an ocean view bure, which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. As a solo female traveller, I felt 100% safe at all times, both in the resort and exploring the surrounding area. The resort has a genuine “real Fiji” feel, with all local staff who make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. Every team member introduces themselves and remembers your name, you’re never just a guest or a number here. The food at the resort was very good, and for something special, I highly recommend taking a taxi to the Crab Shack for dinner, it’s very reasonably priced with amazing food and a great atmosphere. What really makes Tambua Sands stand out is the people. I couldn’t possibly single out one staff member, from the front-of-house team, kitchen and bar staff, gardeners, activities and tour guides, to the security team and the amazing cleaning staff. Every single person worked together to create a truly welcoming and memorable stay. If you’re looking for a small, authentic, and warm Fijian experience, Tambua Sands is the perfect choice. I will definitely return again. "

"Great location on the beach with beautiful gardens and infinity pool. Nice size resort for couples. Front bungalows can get a bit noisy but very comfortable. Service was amazing with a few activities every day. Making contact prior to the stay was problematic however it was all fine once we arrived. There were some shops / restaurants nearby which was handy. The restaurant on site was ideal though. "
