Trains leave every 10 mins or so from the station that is a 10 min walk away.You can get an all day train ticket to use to and from Geneva and all transport in Geneva for about £12 for 24 hours , Excellent value. Also , its easy and cheap to get to the hotel from Geneva airport , costs about £5 if that. Train to Annecy is also a MUST ."

"Even though the weather wasn’t great and we couldn’t take the cable car to Aiguille du Midi, we still really enjoyed our time in Chamonix. The staff were very friendly and even let us park our car early — free parking is a real bonus here! Our two-bedroom apartment was huge, fully equipped, and had a massive balcony with amazing mountain views. The hot breakfast was excellent. The only downsides were that the laundry machine was out of order and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect stay."
