"visiting from California and loved our stay at MT Rover! A quick 5 minute walk to the ski resort - don't let the hotels.com drive confuse you, it's incorrect and you don't need to drive. Great food at the restaurant and large selection. Amazing service as they brought breakfast up to our room every morning so we can enjoy the privacy and spectacular view. Day 1 - Haridwar to Joshimath 1 bus, 11 people, 12 hours. Deprived of sleep, I spent most of the time taking a nap or clicking pictures. We did introductions on the way, stopped for meals and learnt about the region from our much experienced driver. I was at Valley of flowers, Uttarakhand in the last week of July, a 6 day trip - my first after leaving the cubicle, also my first without anyone I knew. I usually do not believe in making a bucket list because I think that travelling is more about experiences and memories which you make in a destination rather than ticking off places one after another. . But Valley of flower was an exception for me. I had heard about this place a few years ago but I really never bothered much about it. . It was the late Winter of this year when I actually started reading about it and since then my craving and curiosity to visit this valley just kept increasing with every Sunrise. I immediately wanted to leave everything and come here. . But sadly that was not the right time to come here because flowers blosoom only in monsoon. .
