"The room was very clean and the bed(king) was comfortable. However, the room really isn't big enough for a king bed. The safe was not usable as the locks were extended with the door being open. Being unable to rectify the problem, I contacted the front desk and asked for help. They were not able to rectify the problem prior to my departure(2 day stay). The hotel included cold breakfast which was plentiful(no toaster or bread). There is no restaurant at this hotel. Location is excellent as it makes it easy to walk the waterfront. Be advised, that until mid June, there are limited restaurants open until tourist season returns."

"We came over for just a quick little over night getaway for our 4th anniversary and we definitely had an amazing time! The staff were very welcoming and went over and above by giving us a beautiful room over looking the ocean which the view was breathtaking as well as a yummy treat of Nanaimo’s famous bars in our fridge. Since we were limited to whereabouts to go as we didn’t have our vehicle we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Although they were out of a couple of items we were thinking of ordering the meal turned out to be better than expected and our waitress was great even paying for a dessert for our anniversary. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay along the harbour in Nanaimo and I know if we make it back this way again we will be for sure. Make sure to get the ocean view!!"

"The views around the hotel are absolutely amazing, and the two pools and hot tub are truly wonderful. The property is also quiet and not too crowded, so there is plenty of space to relax. The walk to the beach is beautiful as well. The restaurant food was also very delicious, with generous portions. The only thing I was disappointed with was the room. We booked the town-side queen beds room, but it looked older and smaller than it appeared in the photos. The view was not good, instead of seeing much of the town, we mostly saw the nearby building and roof right next to the hotel. The biggest issue, however, was the constant low-frequency vibration and noise in the room for most of the day. When lying on the bed or even sitting on the toilet, we could feel the room shaking slightly and hear a very deep humming sound. I suspect it may have been coming from a large engine or mechanical unit installed on the roof or somewhere nearby. Luckily, the noise stopped after midnight, but if you are an early sleeper, it could be quite bothersome."

"Stall accommodated my Expedia request for an early check in, as we flew in by seaplane at noon. That was perfect after a long morning of travelling. Front desk staff helpful in pointing out attractions and shopping and dining. However we ate twice in the hotel’s restaurant as the food as service was great. This must be a fun place to work, even the housekeeping staff were above and beyond"
