We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the best place we ever could have chosen. Suzie is the best, she was extremely kind, helpful, and really cares about her guests. The breakfast was always fresh and it was delicious, every single person on the staff was friendly and kind. I can not recommend the Barnacle Inn enough!

A sweet and special stay

The management is superb, so eager to be helpful! The Inn was super clean and provided beach towels, chairs, in addition to a lovely breakfast, iced water, coffee and tea all day, plus evening cookies There are games and maps in the lobby Extremely good location, close to all downtown as well as the bus terminal

Had a lovely stay at The Barnacle Inn. Room was comfortable and had all amenities. Breakfast in the morning in the front of the property was beautiful and relaxing. Perfect location as you can be right in two within minutes. Will absolutely return our next trip to the island!

We had a wonderful stay at The Barnacle Inn. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. Chocolate chip cookies in the foyer when you arrive and an amazing breakfast each morning. Convenient location - you can walk from the ferry, to town, all of the restaurants and shops. Will be back!

A hidden gem

A warm personal greeting on arrival with all pertinent info and key in an envelope. Beautiful breakfast every morning, protein fruit, coffee and warm pastries served on a tray to eat inside or outside. Convenient to activities.

Our host Susie could not have been more sweet! The Barnacle Inn is cozy and makes you feel at home. Kind of makes you feel like you’re visiting family that has a beautiful house in Nantucket. We found it to be quiet and soundproofed. Warm cookies in the afternoon is a nice touch! Open windows in our room, letting a nice cool breeze. Although air-conditioning is available. The location is perfect. Just a short walk to downtown plenty of restaurants and shopping. Not far from where the wave. (Public transportation) Drops you off and pick you up To visit many sites on the island.

Perfect Mother Daughter trip!

Charming and quaint. We loved our suite. A king and twin for my adult daughters in one large room with 2 dressers and 2 mirrors, and a queen room for me with my own sink. There was a connecting bathroom and hall. Breakfast in the garden was the perfect way to start each day. Beach towels and chairs are provided. Despite being close to main street, it was completely quiet and relaxing. Perfect location! Try Ships Inn restaurant next door. So convenient!

This was an incredible experience!The inn is just lovely, like stepping back to a quieter, more gracious time, with so many extra special touches to make you time there an experience to treasure. Sumaya, her husband Anthony, and the staff of young ladies are so warm and friendly and welcoming it feels like staying with family or dear friends. I was there for my 75th birthday and they made it so special for me, I can’t thank them enough. The breakfast trays they serve are just so charming and filled with delicious treats they delighted my heart….and my stomach! I would highly recommend The Barnacle Inn as the place to stay if you want a true spirit of Nantucket experience!

Charming hostess. Very welcoming. The location is close to town making it convenient to walk to restaurants, shopping and the ferry. This inn is a very good value especially compared to the other properties in the area. The room was was comfortable, quaint, dated but clean. Linens and towels can use sn update. Had everything we needed. I liked the available herbal tea and coffee available any time, bowls of fruit and cookies in the afternoon. A welcome envelope with my name, key and instructions made check-in easy. Some bathrooms in the Inn have been updated. Ours had a footed tub with shower. Old, but clean and adequate. A continental breakfast was attractively presented on trays where we ate outside in various parts of the pretty gardens and patios. I would suggest a hard boiled egg and a croissant instead of sweet pastries in addition to the yogurt, juice and fresh fruit which was very good. The church bells across the street ring on the hour but keeping the a/c fan unit on helps muffle the sound if you are a light sleeper. Bring noise cancelling ear plugs. Overall this is a great find!
