Great stay

The receptionist Francesca is really friendly. We appreciate her service. The room is good , clean and comfortable. Only one down point is safe door is broken, so it kept opening. The buffet breakfast is average, but Francesca made orange juice for us. We really appreciate it. Great hospitality , clean room and an amazing location.

The private lobby on the 2nd floor converts this property into a luxurious experience adjacent to the Spaccanapoli. Below you’ll find open air bars with people meeting up with friends. It’s a very charming location. The breakfast in the morning can be delivered to your room or you will book an appointment with the staff for the breakfast room. The portions and options were very generous. Finally, we used this location as a base to walk down to the ferry and train stations. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk, but we were able to see Pompeii, Capri, and Positano all on separate days from this home base.

Naples vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the Melrose. The hostess was absolutely wonderful. She checked us in smoothly when we got there and our room was totally ready for us. Then the next day she made a beautiful breakfast for us. There were groups before us and after us and boy was she hustling! She also ordered us a cab and was never too busy to help, even though she had so much to do. The location was excellent… Right in The heart of historic Naples. We walked to dinner and to our activities easily. I would highly recommend.

Naples isn’t the nicest area but this boutique hotel is awesome. Caterina who was at the main desk was awesome and had our next days breakfast items like juice and yogurt put in our room the night before as we had to leave very early.

Property and location were great. Stefano was over the top in making sure we were taken care of. The AC was not cooling and even after service, the room never really got cooler but we had the two story room with loft so we were made aware that it might not cool as well as regular rooms. Overall, great stay, highly recommend and would stay again.

We were greeted warmly at reception; everything was clearly explained. Especially nice was the wonderful explanation of the things to visit in the area. At our request, they ordered a taxi for our 4 AM departure to the airport the next day, even requesting a taxi that would accept credit card (100% successful). Great location. The room was very nice and very comfortable. Hotel and room very clean. Would definitely stay at Melrose Napoli again.

Naples is a busy place. The area around the hotel was no exception. Sound proofing was good, but needed to open the window to cool off and then it was loud until late. Close to subway and lots of shopping and restaurants. Hotel is nice but entrance to the building was in need of update and felt sketchy. Was not sure I was in the right place. Breakfast was good but had to be scheduled. Only one table. No place to pull up and drop off luggage as it is on a pedestrian only street. Also staff is only on sight part of the day, mostly morning. If you need anything later in the day/ evening you are on your own.

Employees are wonderful! And place is very clean. They need to inform other residents to NOT talk on the corredor after 10 PM and to teach people on how to close the lift’s door as people kept slamming it all night long. I had to tell other residents to be more quiet as they were chatting and drinking in front of my bedroom. Also, they need to inform residents that the key card needs to be returned at the end of the stay as I was not told to do so. In the U.S, we don’t have to return the key card. Everything else was wonderful and I recommend this hotel.

This property looks like just like the pictures. Very clean and modern. Staff (Caterina and Martina) was very accommodating and friendly. From check in to check out there was constant communication which was very much appreciated. We ordered our breakfast the evening before and had it delivered to our room (our preference) or you could eat in the dining area which we never utilized. The air b n b is located in a building on the second floor. There are other tenants in the building, but they provide you with an electronic key to enter the building as well as to enter the floor where the suites are located and then you use the same electronic key to enter your room. Lots to see and do around the area. If you like to walk it’s about 20 minutes to the port Beverello if you are catching a ferry to Capri or one of the other islands. It was about a 6 min walk to the Santa Chiara which has beautiful majolica tiles in a lovely garden. The Via Toledo is right around the corner. Lots of shopping on that street and at one point it becomes a pedestrian thoroughfare and takes you to the sea. It’s about a 25 minute walk to Castel Sant Elmo (taking the funicular) which has the most amazing views of Naples, Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples from the top. We would stay here again!!

Hot, hot, hot!

This hotel is not one I'd return to. We stayed at their featured room, so we have 2 floors (2 small beds up some dangerous steps). Its down an alley that you can not get to via car and its in a business building. You need to whatsapp them with your arrival time so there is someone there, otherwise no one is on site or reachable. We got buzzed in and there is this small oldschool chained elevator. While I was going up with 2 luggages and my daughter, my husband was in the "lobby" stepping on cockroaches. Yes, you read that right. Cockroaches everything in the lobby of this building. We check in and walk into the room. Pretty room on first site but as youre in there it get hotter and hotter. The ac is no where near accurate to cool the room. We left for the remainder of the day and returned to a room that cool but not cold. During the night something happened and we all woke up in a sweat. The ac was not working. After calls to the employee who checked us in (who told us not to message him when he is not working), attempts to call the hotel via their phone number ( I called and hotels.com called all to unanswered phonecalls), the employee gave me the number to the owner. She sent over her elderly father to take a look. What was his response? to clean the filters. No actual handyman who know ACs came to check it out. The end result? A hot room. Listing states AC. This is a lie. Listing states restaurants. This is a lie. The entire listing is fraudulent.

Francesca and the Melrose staff were hands on “All the time” Great location, only a few feet away from Spacca Napoli. Great Bars next to the location, great drinks. amazing vibe. Family room was perfect for the 4 of us . Strongly recommend this location.

Location is very central, room was clean, the host was good but room we stayed in only had window to hotel hallway that had a loud elevator. We could hear the elevator and noise from main door opening all night. Hotel has bar right outside and we could hear a lot of noise on the weekend when the bar was very busy even though our room was on the inside of the hotel. I would not stay here again.

Perfekt läge för någon natt. Det var en livlig gata men det var absolut inget problem för nattsömnen. Vi fick instruktioner gällande incheckningen innan resan eftersom vi skulle komma lite sent till hotellet. Det fungerade väldigt bra. Frukosten är som den brukar vara i Italien mer som att äta söta bullar och söta kakor. Det är inget vi föredrar alls.
