"Avoid the hassle. I do not recommend Summit Ridge for a staycation.
Pros:
Location. Strategically located near Tagaytay attractions, with an adjacent mall for quick needs.
Cons:
1. STAFF HAS NO SENSE OF URGENCY. Checked in at 11:00 AM for 4 rooms (8 pax w/ 3 seniors). Promised an update once rooms were ready. By 2:00 PM (check-in time), no rooms were available despite 8 staff at the desk.
I watched them accommodate 11 other guests, then I stood in front of them from 2:16–2:25 PM just to follow up.
Only when their “sir” arrived at 2:29 PM did they act. We got all rooms at 2:49 PM; but one key didn’t work and needed validation by 2:56 PM.
2. NO TOWELS. None provided upon check-in; had to request for all 4 rooms.
3. BREAKFAST IS BASIC; SERVICE IS SUBPAR. Arrived 7:35 AM (6–9 AM service), no seats available. They offer to set up tables outside with no urgency; followed up by 7:50 AM for us to be seated. NEW attendant didnt know we're waiting!
Intentional or not, only our table has NO knives, with smaller utensils.
Staff isnt checking the buffet table; I had to request for coffee and butter to refill.
4. ELEVATORS ARE OLD. Both visibly rusty and creaking; only 1 elevator working on Day 2.
5. POOL HAS TOO MUCH CHLORINE. Strong odor; almost not swimmable. Nearby hotels have better, heated pools.
6. HOUSEKEEPING DID NOT REFILL TOILETRIES. No replenishment on Day 2; had to buy from nearby store.
Written based on actual experience. No proper apology or compensation given."
