"Lovely hotel with comfortable room and a nice continental breakfast. Very convenient for Tongariro national park. Very welcoming owner. No restaurant on site but s short drive to restaurants."

Nice, safe little village. Most of the walks seem to start to the next village down which is not far. Went quad biking with Ruaphu adventure rides which was so much fun (Carl our instructor and owner of the company was excellent) - would recommend!

Check the advertising and pricing very carefully. Good value for six if you only use as a sleepover. Otherwise old and outdated in need of makeover to suit todays traveler
