"A beautiful property and such a wonderful stay. Api, Jerry, Ratu and the whole reception and dining team were so warm and kind. They made a real effort to learn and remember everyone’s names, greeting you personally at meals and whenever you passed by. We’d highly recommend the free nature walk – it’s a great way to learn about the property and the plants growing there. The complimentary 10-minute spa foot ritual was another highlight, with gorgeous views over the grounds and the ocean.
We celebrated a birthday during our stay and were treated to two birthday serenades, a personalised dessert, and fantastic room decorations – including a huge “birthday cake” made entirely out of towels. And the homemade cookies they leave in your room each day? Don’t be shy about asking for more!
Whilst the average age of guests was generally 50+, we enjoyed the property just as much as a couple in our late twenties. Even at our young age, the clear absence of children made the whole place feel calmer, more relaxed, and wonderfully peaceful."
"We had such a fantastic stay at Mantaray Island Resort – we’d go back in a heartbeat. Our beachfront accommodation was perfect, the food was tasty, and the excursions and activities were amazing. We celebrated a birthday while we were there and really appreciated the extra touches – the decorated room and the restaurant serenade.
A highlight was visiting the local village – an unforgettable experience. One evening, we had a private beachfront dinner with excellent service from Pita, which was a real treat. We wouldn’t think twice about staying here again on another Fijian Yasawa Islands adventure."
"Our stay was amazing from start to finish. We had lovely accommodation with great amenities and especially enjoyed the double-headed outdoor shower – such a treat.
The beachfront was absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear water just like you’d imagine on a paradise-like island in Fiji. We celebrated a birthday while we were there, and the little extras – the decorated room and the restaurant serenade – made it feel really special. And the food… delicious every single time. We’d go back in a heartbeat."
"It’s a small resort, but it was still impressive that everyone on the staff knew my name within the first few hours…service was impeccable, while keeping a conversation up with all the guests…the bar area was very social…and the massage therapist had a good touch!"
"We loved Barefoot! Beachfront traditional Bure, plenty to do, and great food. Was a place to really relax, but still with enough to do for the kids. The extra snorkel and day trips do add up though. Will definitely be back. "
"One of the best places I've ever stayed. The location is perfect, forget any doubts about going to the Yasawas vs mainland. Staff are very friendly. Setup of the bures is amazing, would love to have some blinds or more privacy in the bedroom, this sounds worse than it is, minor thing. More flippers/ snorkelling gear would be great."
