"Beautiful small hotel with gorgeous landscaping. The amazing free beach was just a couple of minutes away from the property. There were some excellent restaurants within a mile. The accommodations were fairly basic, but neat and clean, and there was an air conditioner/heater unit. It was very peaceful and quiet. Pavlos was friendly and helpful, and he has a nice dog named Tito. We enjoyed our stay very much!"

"The hotel was near a beach which was nice, but the farthest one from town. The rooms were a bit dated, for example, there was a curtain used for a bed cover on the side bed, somewhat of an open shower/bathroom and our chairs on the patio were missing 2 cushions. And the breakfast was very basic. Although staff was very friendly. Next time we'd look for a closer location to town and one with a slightly younger crowd."

"Great hotel and within walking distance to and from the ferry terminal. Very quiet area. No complaints at all. The buffet breakfast was very good and lots of selections. My favorite were the domades and kalamata olives beside my eggs and fruit. We also rented a cat from there and that was smooth sailing. Do rent a car for at least a day or two. You can see so much more."

"We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon and found that both the hotel and location to be both fun and relaxing. We could easily take the bus into Naxos town, and did so every other day. The beach and spa features of the hotel were very relaxing, and we even got a hot tub on our terrace since the room has been newly renovated. There are many restaurants and other stores nearby, but the breakfast served at the hotel every morning was our favorite way to start the day. Only minor complaints - it got a little buggy so just make sure you close your windows in the afternoon, and we found that the shower water pressure in Greece (everywhere we went) had some issues. None of that deterred our stay though and we would definitely come back!!"

"Lovely beach view and sun on our balcony. Room no.8 was very small but well equipped Up two flights of stairs. Could do with do not disturb sign's to hang outside the door. Cleaning was every day. Staff were lovely. Breakfast menu was varied and very well cooked. . Towels for the beach are complimentary,BUT Sunbeds are Not..you have to pay,but waiter service is excellent.Location for this property is 10 out of 10. 20min stroll past restaurants to Naxos town. Beach is powder sand with shallow sea out for 50metre. Lots of other small bars/food on the beach further along, plus water sports."

"From the moment of arrival to the day of departure the staff at the Grotta Hotel were superb! They offered transfer to and from the port, an incredibly delicious and freshly made spread of breakfast foods, and the spa amenities were a lovely little bonus. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, as were the rest of the premises. Our only wish is that we had stayed longer! "

Sundunes Hotel Naxos

"We had an absolutely amazing time at Sundunes Naxos! The staff, facilities, hotel and food were perfect! The hotel is situated approximately 13 minutes drive from the main town of Naxos. If you have a hire car, there is ample parking outside all of the rooms at Sundunes. We never had any issues. The room was incredibly clean, featured a large walk in shower and toilet with bidet. Bottled water was provided free of charge each morning when the room was cleaned. These were placed in the fridge which was located within the room. Coffee pods were also provided. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, giving recommendations where we should visit, restaurants and sights and were more than happy to assist with restaurant and taxi bookings. The reception staff even booked additional taxis for us for our return trip to Santorini. The included breakfast was fresh and delicious, featuring fruits, meats traditional greek pastries (cheese pies were fab!), cereal, yoghurt and breads. Barista coffees were also included and free of charge to hotel guests. The pool is spectacular, spacious and clean, and the hotel has a 'private' stretch of beach with loungers and umbrellas. The beach is located over a small road which isn't at all busy - around 30 second walk out of the property. I genuinely can't recommend this hotel enough - it was incredible and the perfect relaxing base for our holiday!"

"The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the beach, restaurants and shops. There is a bus station right across the street, from where you can catch a bus (15 min ride) to the heart of Naxos town/port. The suite was very large with a big bed, sofa area and large balcony overlooking the sea. The pool was a great way to cool off, and the poolside bar offers full service. We were very happy with our choice of accommodations and the location could not be beat. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Naxos."

"I have nothing but good things to say about our time at Makava! Everything was impeccable…. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. The room was clean, stylish, spacious and comfortable. The attached patio area was lovely to sit on with a glass of wine. The upstairs roof top lounge / hot tub area was perfect to relax after a long day of exploring Naxos. The staff were friendly, professional and quick to respond to any questions/ requests. The location was wonderful! 10 minute walk from the centre of everything yet it still felt like we were in a more local / less touristy area. Free parking lot off to the side of the building. Highly recommend Makava and will definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to Naxos"
