No one at reception to help check you in!

There was no one at reception upon arrival and during our entire stay. There was a WhatsApp phone number on the reception desk that guests need to call so they can be told which is their room number. It would have been nice to have received a message informing us of this. In addition, the property operator did not response to my email message. Rooms are basic and clean. Nothing more to add.

The area is nice and conveniently close to amenities, but if you have large luggage, it can be challenging to walk up the slope, and the hotel doesn't have a lift. The toilet design makes it quite dark at night, making it hard to see while showering. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and gave us great recommendations for places to visit.

Delightful Naxos!

A group of us just did a 15-day trip in different parts of Europe and we absolutely loved Naxos and Ampelos Suites. Our accommodations were clean, cozy, and provided everything we needed. Good restaurants, a bakery and market were close by. I often am a solo female traveler and I would definitely be comfortable and feel safe staying here on a solo trip. Sophis made sure we knew where everything was located, provided Whats App contact info and answered all our questions.

Good localisation in the center of Naxos

Very pleasant stay. Excellent service. The panoramic view from the roof top of the hotel is amazing.

In the middle of everything.

A really nice hotel, with a reception that did everything she could to make our stay perfect. The hotel is in the middle of the town, but very quiet.

Pleasant property which was clean, modern, and conveniently located. We booked a room for our family with two teens and the suite was quite small so we would have felt very cramped if staying for more than one night. However we had a patio with a table with a small ocean view which was very nice. The front desk is only staffed part of the day but the staff responded quickly using Whatsapp. The rooftop with tables is also great.

A nice property overall and would probably stay again. Staff was helpful and the property was quite clean. There is no staff available on a regular basis, but staff tried to help. Avoid busy times. The best part is the view from the terrace. A key problem was that the spa in the room was not working during this stay. No previous notification was communicated and there was only a note in the room, stating not to use the spa due to a plumbing issue so did not use it. Spa was a major reason for booking this room, so this was quite disappointing. There are two parking spots near the property, but staff advised not to park there. It is very difficult in any case to reach Ampelos by car due to the narrow and steep streets.Parking in the island is challenging, so guests should be able to walk for a while through steep streets. The mattress was very soft and old, so needs to be changed.

I was not notified that I was moved to their other location which was farther from town and the port which was not what I chose when I booked a room with Ampelos. Overall the rooms were nice and clean but I was disappointed with the location change and no notice.

The bath tub in my room wasnt working which was fine. But there was a smell coming out of it. Also upon arriving my room wasnt ready after 3pm. And during the day there is no receptionist. Also the wifi issloq.

My friends and I are very angry with the way we have been treated by the Ampelos group. My friends’ booking was cancelled for no reason three days before their arrival. I had booked the Ampelos Inn at the beach but my booking showed I was booked into the Ampelos Suites in town. Upon arriving at the Suites I was transferred to the Naxos Resort, a different property entirely and nowhere near my friends or a beach. This is an unacceptable way to treat your guests. It is highly disappointing as the facilities are very nice, but you cannot be guaranteed of staying where you wanted to. Not at all happy.
