Quality Inn Sidney I-80

8/10 Good

"The staff were joyful and responsive. Checkin was fast. There were 2 things that could have been improved: when the woman who checked me in gave instructions to my room, she advised to pull around to the back of the building. We found out that in order to get to our room from the back of the building, we had to go up several stairs, across the platform, then down several stairs. If we had to park at the front of the building, there would have been no stairs at all and the same very short distance to our room. Also, the toilet was broken somehow. The front desk woman did come to look at it, but Murphy’s Law applied. It didn’t run while she was there, but did run every 10 minutes for the rest of the night. All in all, I would stay here again for a simple overnight halfway between my two homes."

"Hot tub was half full and had hundreds of bugs in it, spiders, beetles, flies, etc. they said it was down, it smelled awful and made the whole pool room stink. The pool was also ice cold. A door labeled “restricted access” was propped open with no one around the whole time. A ceiling fan in the pool area was covered in crud and dirt…looked nasty. Many lights out or flickering in pool area and throughout the entire property, including one large light flickering like crazy in a stairwell. Our tv was “locked” with a parental lock on every channel, it wanted a 4 digit code, staff said they had never seen that before and said they didnt know what to do, so they did nothing, we just had no tv throughout our stay. The upstairs hallway smelled extremely bad, not sure what that smell was but I never want to smell it again. The breakfast had decent selection, but all the food was very bland and had no flavor. The staff was okay, but not helpful and didnt seem to care about how bad of shape the hotel was in. Our room was fairy clean I guess so that was one positive. I stayed here a 5-6 years ago and it was a nice hotel, now this place seems very very run down. Id be surprised if it doesnt shut down soon its so bad."

"This is a clean and centrally located property. It is close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the State and National Parks in the area. The space in the room is good for families, as there is a pull out couch . The counter in the middle of the room has a frig, microwave and sink , which divides up the room into two sections. There are no utensils or plates in the room, however. There is a nice gazebo in the back with grills that can be used , but , again, no plates or utensils in the room. The breakfast is a meager offering. I stayed there for 3 nights, and the offerings were inconsistent. One day there was 1 kind of cereal, another day there were 3, etc. Overall, the hotel is okay, and conveniently located."
