"Good clean room but awful customer service i arrived at 18:00 n i was made to wait 30min to check in, i was forced to sit with a random family while they checked me in. Waiting area was full. The service I received i wouldn't say its a 5* hotel. "

"Feels like they are after your money. The rooms were ready for early check-in, but they still required 50 USD for us to access the rooms prior to the agreed check-in time. "

"Exceptionally good. The rooms and entire hotel was clean, tidy and beautifully presented. The staff outstanding. We utilised in room dining and it was fantastic. Breakfast has a variety of options and however on both occasions almost everything was cold. This is an easy fix that i hope Can be addressed. Still tasty! The only negative experience is the smoking on the pool deck. We are spoiled with tough NO smoking rules in Australia so are not used to having smoke wafting over our table while eating. Perhaps a smoking zone somewhere else? Jet wing has set the bar high for the rest of our trip. Thank You."

"Firstly the staff was fantastic, helpful friendly and polite. Food was exceptional both for breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea. Watch the curries they are proper spicy compared to England. Roof top pool and bar great at sunset. Several different restaurants and all very good quality. The rooms are fantastic spacious and comfortable. They have thought of everything. If you are in Colombo it is worth a stay."

"An excellent, excellent stay at the Galle Face Hotel. The staff were so kind and attentive, especially the entire guest relations team of Darshi, Viduni, Kithara, Dinushi, and Ivoni, who surprised us with a gorgeous setup for our anniversary, and Kenan who gave us a special hotel 'heritage tour.' We stayed 2 days, but the kids were so sad to leave. The breakfast was expansive and delicious, and the swimming pool is apparently the only hotel salt pool in Sri Lanka. The sunset viewing area is beautiful and just everything about this hotel was wonderful."

One thing I noticed is that whenever there's a lineup at the front, the front office manager, Dananja, rushes in with a bunch of staff and clears it quickly. "
