"We were given an upgrade and the room was very nice, although the cost was very high at Ā£180+ , which we assumed was due to the time of year. It was part of an 8 day trip which included 5 hotels and this was almost double the cost of the other, good quality hotels. The hotel and amenities are excellent and I would have awarded a higher rating for the ambienceā¦ā¦however we were very disappointed with the set meal at Ā£69 per head. We had invited my husbands mother to join us and felt that it wasnāt value for money. The bar was suffering from staff sickness and service was slowā¦..but the head barman was very good and apologetic for any inconvenience. Overall a very nice hotel, but expensive."
