The rooms in the castle are incredible with modern conveniences and an old castle feel! The food and wine at the restaurant was delicious and the views from the restaurant are stunning! "We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Goldener Hirsch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and well appointed, and we all found the beds comfortable. We loved the common areas on the first and second floors-nice places to sit and read while waiting for other members of our party. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel offered a nice selection of foods in what I would call traditional German style. Lastly, the location of the hotel makes it easy to walk to the center of town, the kriminalsmuseum and other key areas. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we would definitely return if coming to Rothenberg in the future."
"We loved our stay at Wildbad, living like princesses in the castle and exploring the grounds. The hotel is in a quiet park in convenient walking distance to the city centre and medieval town. We also enjoyed very much their diner grill buffet, a very healthy option and great ambience, different to the local touristy places.
