Wanted to have an explanation
We were given the room which is $10 per night cheaper than we booked and paid. I should have checked the itinerary as soon as we checked in. But I wanted the owner to explain the reason. Unfortunately we feel like we were cheated..

We were given the room cheaper than we paid!
We booked Queen Spa Studio but we ended up staying at Queen split studio, which is $10.00 cheaper per night than Queen Spa. I didn’t realize that until I got home. That was terrible! If there was reason we needed to change the room, the owner should have explained to us before we stayed.

Ian and Helen make this a great place to stay! The Abode is perfectly located to be walkable to everything we visited. Grocery stores are across the street as well. The kitchenette is well stocked. Water pressure in the shower is strong and consistent. Overall, we highly recommend staying here.

The property is centrally located and was easy walking distance to both shopping and dining locations. Our room was clean, well maintained, and it was also significantly larger than we expected which was nice. while it is on a pretty busy road we weren't impacted by any traffic noise in one of the back rooms. If you are looking for somewhere central to town then definitely consider Abode on Courtenay Motor Inn, we will visit again.

I come from a hotel background (although a VERY long time ago), and my mother (who I was travelling with), used to clean a local motel... And we were both ASTOUNDED by how immaculately clean this motel (especially our 2 bedroom unit) was. Nice facilities, clean and comfortable - with all the kitchenette facilities provided. A very comfortable, relaxing and hassle-free stay.
