"Room was far too hot-top floor and heating pumping out with no way to turn down. Small fan in room not up to job of cooling sufficiently. Bar /food not open. Disappointing for a Mercure hotel. Staff apologetic but unable to solve issue."

Bathroom in room needs a really good clean - grime around bath/shower. Shower had barely any power. Both of our rooms were spacious, modern, and extremely comfortable. The second room we booked for our guests was equally impressive, and they were very happy with the comfort and overall experience. The cleanliness in both rooms was impeccable—everything felt fresh, well maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. We truly appreciated the complimentary amenities, including parking, water, and fruits—small details that made a big difference and reflected genuine hospitality. The location is perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet very convenient for accessing Oxford city center, making it ideal for a relaxed stay. The staff were courteous, professional, and always ready to help, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
