Indulgence
Excellent - very clean but virtually brand new so you would expect that. Some noise from the metro - may depend on which room you are allocated and some from the air conditioning/ heating unit to the rear of the hotel. Food good, service excellent- staff very friendly.

Had to keep window closed as trains very close to room were noisy this made it uncomfortably warm. Pillows were very firm. Breakfast could have been hotter. Beautiful hotel though and evening meal was good.

Disappointed
We thought the position of the check in for the hotel was poorly thought out , being on the opposite side of the hotel from our room, meaning you either have to walk through a busy pub with your luggage or around the outside of the building potentially in bad weather to access your room. Possibly a key card operated entrance accessing the rear car park area may help ? There was no mobile phone coverage while inside the building and when we asked a member of staff to order us a taxi in the evening we were told we would have to go outside to make the call as even their phones wouldn't work. The buffet breakfast, while it looked nicely presented, was barely warm, the hot water for tea was also luke warm and the coffee actually ran out ! We were having breakfast quite early so dont understand why items were cold or ran out? All in all , for nearly £180 we expected much better.

Just refurbished. Could smell new carpets and paint. Excellent for doggy people, both in rooms and bar areas. Great breakfast included. Good for coastal walks and access to Tynemouth beaches and ancient priory.

Average
First impressions bar lovely, went to room 146. Very small bathroom lovely great shower. Metro line a stone throw away which wasnt great. And unfortunately the walls paper thin think hugh heffner was next door with the playgirls up all night listening to that not great glad we had no kids.

Overpriced and small but nice pub.
It was a lovely Inn, downstairs a large, super cosy pub made a great ambiance and breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately paying extra for a sea view to end up with a window facing the park (you could see the sea if you leaned out of the window..) The rooms are tiny and it may have been due to Christmas time, but we found it extremely overpriced for what it was.

Posher Premier inn
Feels odd checking in without a lobby. Walking your bags through a bar doesn’t seem right. Check in wax efficient and the room was big and well appointed. However it feels like a new, slightly up market premier inn. For the money I paid I expected a bit more tbh. Breakfast was good - if you like cooked breakfasts. Not loads of other foods to chose from.

Great refurbished hotel.
Only been reopened about four weeks ago after a complete refurbishment. Stayed for two night's and wish I'd stayed a little longer. The room was great, breakfast plentiful and staff provided a great service. Didn't have an evening meal at the hotel but what I did see coming out of the kitchen look good. I would definitely stay at this hotel when visiting family again in the North East and next time would dine in the evening.

Great hotel
Really lovely hotel with excellent customer service the staff were all reall friendly and helpful. Had the carvery for sunday lunch which was delicious and good value for money. Will definitely stay again

Well worth a visit
From check in to check out brilliant Staff very helpful the room was immaculate restaurant was very busy waited fifty minutes after ordering but meal was well waiting for it was beautiful Breakfast had plenty of choice Well worth a visit We will definitely be returning

Birthday weekend
Lovely recently refurbished hotel. In a great location with a great bar and restaurant.Staff were all so pleasant and very helpful. Our room was spacious with a sea view and balcony. Definitely will stay here again.

A Tynemouth treat
A excellent, newly refurbished hotel, which was a joy to stay in for 3 days. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Missing was a suitcase stand. A lovely menu in the bar/restaurant, although very pricey. Breakfast was the full English, spoilt by being cold half way through eating due to cold plates and insufficient heat at the servery. On day one the scrambled egg was cold at start. That said, quite nice. The staff were great and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I wish the new venture all success.
