"This was a last minute booking and the room wasn't ready when we arrived so we had a little wait until it was ready. The manager (Tanya I think?) was very helpful, kept us informed and gave us a free drink while we were waiting which was much appreciated. The room itself was good, it was ground floor and close to McDonalds but we couldn't hear any noise from outside. I didn't find the bed or the sofa bed particularly comfortable but it was fine for one night. The only thing that would have been helpful was if there was a high up latch on the door, as my 2 year could open the door quite easily. Breakfast was good, just your usual hotel breakfast with hot and cold food. The car park was quite full in the evening as shared with McDonalds and the Harvester but we did find a space, there were loads of spaces in the morning."

"Nice enough, a bit shabby here and there (new carpets needed?!). A good spa (though don’t miss the hidden charge of £15pd on top of the room price to get in). The WiFi needs to be better for the price. Nice grounds for a drink and a decent restaurant (nice to have the pianist on Saturday night). A good breakfast, but a bit frantic and thin if you leave it until the end of the session."

"Located in centre of town there was a lot of noise from people going to and from pubs/clubs, also a lot of boy racers in there cars driving around and around constantly past our room window, we did stay on a Saturday night so probably busier than other nights, but had to have window open due to being hot and no air conditioning, and even with window closed still quite noisy. Made it difficult to sleep till about 2am when people started going home, obviously this is out of the hotel’s control and with it being an old building I assume they can’t replace old sash windows with modern ones to reduce the noise. Other that the noise the hotel was quite nice and was a reasonable standard for the price and the staff were friendly and helpful."
