"Myself and my daughter had a lovely stay at the Moorland hotel. The grounds and setting were marvelous. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Only things that weren't quite right were. Bulb out in bathroom ceiling. Bulb out in mirror in bathroom and door handle in bathroom trapped me inside as it didn't work properly. If my daughter hadn't been with me I don't know how I could have summoned help. On leaving I mentioned these things to reception and hopefully they have been rectified. Apart from that it was lovely and will definitely return."

"Although the water pressure in the shower wasnt the best and the TV mainly showed BBC, I cannot fault the rest of our stay. The staff were excellent; so friendly and accommodating. ... As for the food, it was glorious! Lovely location too. I would definitely stay again."

"We travelled as a couple with our dog. From arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming and explained local walks (with a map) that we could do with our dog. The room was exceptionally well kept and clean with lovely finishes. We had a balcony looking out over lush gardens and we could hear the river flowing which was beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast both exceptionally and good value. The lounge area was lovely and great place to chill. For an old mill it looks so well kept and maintained. Would absolutely go back and if you are looking for a relaxed charming break this is it. Thank you to all the wonderful staff including the cheery chef you waved out the window at us as we walked our dog! Just perfect stay."

"There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back."
