Comfortable beds and clean rooms. There was a noisy extractor fan or generator somewhere very close that ran all night. A kettle would have been better in than a fancy coffee machine.
Perfect spot for a couple of days to attend a friends wedding. Parking up the road and easy access to the surrounding villages.
Friendly and supportive staff.
Fresh milk delivered for the all important morning coffee before starting the day

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Stayed in the 'Fox' room. Generally pretty good, staff welcoming and very central in Chagford.
Parking limited, curtains very thin (went very close to the summer solstice, so woken very early).
I would recommend the 'Hound' room downstairs as we were in one of the two upstairs rooms and there is very little sound insulation between the rooms and noise from the other room kept us awake.
Check-in was at the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
There's limited on street parking but I was lucky enough to a space right outside.
The food in the bar/restaurant looked superb and it was fairly busy when I got there, however I didn't try the food as I already had other plans for the evening.
I did have a drink at the bar and the prices were reasonable.
I was shown to my room, which was in a separate block adjacent to the bar and beer garden.
The ground floor room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom, and tea/coffee provided.
The room was ideal for my stay.
Love this Inn and accommodation nice homely touches, with good facilities .
Food in the inn was superb we looked forward to eating there every night .A lot of love and hard work has gone into this place and it shows , will definitely stay here again.
Very freindly and welcoming. Food in the pub was fabulous. Accommodation was clean and convenient. Woukd be very happy to reckomend as well as go back and stay again. Offered secure storage for mountain bikes
Very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent dinners and a lovely courtyard to enjoy a drink. Only down comment is couldn't get a Wifi signal, however we weren't there to spend time on social media. Village was friendly and we had a couple of good walks with the dog. Definitely a dog friendly place.
We had a lovely meal when we arrived (not included) then friendly staff showed us to our room, king size bed en-suite, the bed was very comfortable & a powerful shower.
