"I’m really disappointed to write this because this used to be my favourite place. For the past 6 years, I’ve stayed here twice a year and always looked forward to it. Unfortunately, my last visit and this recent stay have shown a clear decline.I paid over $1000 for 3 nights, and honestly, it was not worth it anymore. The room was smelly, noisy, and poorly maintained. Simple things like the TV remote not even having batteries show a lack of attention to detail. What’s most frustrating is that there have been no upgrades at all—the rooms feel exactly the same as they did 5 years ago, if not worse. Rotorua has always been my getaway to relax, but sadly this hotel no longer provides that experience. It’s disappointing to see such a drop in standards. I won’t be staying here again and will definitely be looking for a better option next time. "
