"The sink had no plumbing traps, so it smelled like a sewer if you hadn't used the sink for a while. The lock to the door was really hard to both lock and unlock. I stayed in two different rooms, one didn't have the possibility to lock the bathroom. No restaurant within walking distance and no possibility to make your own food except for a water boiler. Really low level of sounds proofing. The staff was really friendly and helpful though 😊"

The concierge informed them there was no record of the reservation and that the KESMO LODGE DOES NOT WORK WITH HOTELS.COM. "The hotel is situated on dirt roads and is close to nothing. The rooms had dead bugs and it seemed unkept. Our reservation included free airport pickup and free breakfast. However, we had to pay for transfer and no free breakfast. According to the hostess, we paid a special rate and it did not include those items. "They canceled our reservation literally at the last minute without any notification whatsoever; leaving us stranded at the Maun Airport. Then the manager refused to give us a refund. Both Expedia and I tried to rectify the situation for over an hour while still at the airport all to no avail. This feels like quite a scam! They took a reservation and almost $300 USD. "Tolle Begrüßung, sehr nettes Personal. Wir haben immer wieder Ratschläge für Ausflüge und Mittag und Abendessen erhalten. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und geräumig. Tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse im ersten Stock auf den Fluss. Wir haben uns die zwei Tage richtig wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder hier hinkommen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr ehrlich und zuverlässig."

"We spent 3 nights at the Maun Lodge. It is a bit older, but considering its convenience and free airport shuttle, we were happy with our stay. The room itself was basic but very clean and house keeping came every day to tidy up and replace any dirty towels and restock complimentary still water bottles to the room. The restaurant is busy and offers a decent menu. The staff is friendly and helpful with whatever you need. We enjoyed the pool on our final day. It is a cold water pool, but we were happy lounging in the lounge chairs and enjoying the shade and quiet. Overall, we would stay again if we return to Maun. "

"DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL THROUGH EXPEDIA!!!! The hotel exists but states they do not have a contract with Expedia. We showed up to our pre-paid booking confirmed by Expedia and the hotel told us that our booking didn’t exist due to not having an agreement with Expedia. The hotel was fully booked which left us out a lot of money, which the hotel also mentioned was not consistent with their rate which was multiple times lower than the noted rate through Expedia. Expedia did not refund us because they couldn’t get a hold of the facility. You would think that not being able to contact the property would suggest the fraud. No refund for us through Expedia. This is absolutely disappointing and we will not be using Expedia again for any form of travel. Stick to Bookings.com. "
