"this best Western was a nice place to stay overall. It’s a very small properties so there wasn’t much waiting at check-in or checkout. The breakfast was adequate in the rooms themselves were clean and the bed was comfortable. I think it’s time for them to do a renovation sometime soon though most of the furniture looks pretty old but it was kept clean."

"Our king bed was comfortable, and that’s not only the case in lower priced hotels. We chose Ellis because comparable hotels in surrounding communities were more expensive, especially Hays which had a very high tax rate. The air conditioning in the room worked well in extreme heat. Breakfast was simple but good. Mexican restaurant across the street was very good. Parking was easy and close. Good stay on our way home from vacation."
