"Wonderful stay! 3 nights with two babies age 2 and 8 months, the staff were incredibly helpful, attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. The dinner was superb and breakfast varied. Unsure why such negative reviews we have a wonderful stay."
"The on-site restaurant had a limited meal selection and was next to a very noisy inside waterfall. We stayed in a Japanese style room, it was an experience but as a westerner sleeping on the floor was not much fun. The hotel is well located close to the water front, the ferry terminal and lake side walks."
"If you are visiting from the West, know you are in a 2 star hotel that thankfully is cleaned to Japanese standards. It's utilitarian, has the basics of what you need and the beds are comfortable. You are visiting a small town with a lot of history and beauty to see. Remember the purpose of your trip is beyond your hotel. Bonus, 7 Eleven is connected the hotel!
I came Hirosaki for the cherry blossoms and to view at night and in the morning. This is the best option, if you want to be in town."
"Great hotel for the price. Bigger rooms than standard Japanese rooms too. Very clean, close to train station, car parking available and very friendly staff.
Will definitely stay here again."
"The property and rooms appear to be quite old everything was very basic nothing to be impressed with by any means. The cleaning staff came into my room and it looked like they went through my things, I’ve never experienced that and I’m not one to say something like this loosely because it’s a serious issue but it was evident and I think that’s unacceptable. The towels they left in my room were old and dirty. "
"We had a wonderful stay at Ishiba Ryokan. The owner, a ninth-generation descendant of a samurai family, shared fascinating stories that brought the ryokan’s rich history to life. As a designated cultural heritage property, it truly feels like stepping back in time.
The location is ideal, just a short distance from the famous castle, and the atmosphere is calm, understated, and deeply tranquil. The owner speaks excellent English and was incredibly welcoming and engaging to talk with. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning."
"A nice cozy hotel next to Hirosaki station. Breakfast buffet has a lot of delicious options to choose from. It's also in a good area, with lots of good restaurants nearby. "
"Such a wonderful stay again. The best thing about this hotel for me is the all you can eat breakfast in which they serve local famous ingredients like tomburi & nagaimo, Hinai-jidori tsumire meat ball.
Location is another thing I like. From here, you can enjoy a little walk around the Keijo Park, visit Akita-inu museum and appreciate the gorgeous view of Mt. Ho-o alongside Nagaki river.
Come experience all this and you'll definitely love it."

What’s a holiday rental in Ninowatari like?
Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Ninowatari. Holiday rentals provide amenities such as laundry facilities and kitchens so you'll feel just like you're staying in your own home. If you're concerned about cleanliness, holiday rentals can offer a sense of safety away from public hotel lifts and lobbies bustling with people while still allowing you to travel. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is an attractive option for a family trip or a small group gathering.
