"I lived in Summit for 40 years and only stayed here after moving away. This is a charming converted multi-story home, very old-school in its bones, but updated for wifi, chargers, etc. Nicely appointed, two quiet blocks from downtown Summit. Real staff on site--not a tie-line to some national headquarters. Staff goes home at 6 but is close by and available by phone if needed. Spacious sitting room and breakfast area with nice spread of breakfast fare. Short walk to the train (NJ transit to NYC and elsewhere). Summit has restaurants ranging from a NYC quality steak house (Roots) to The Summit Diner, a 1920s-era DDD where my children and I spent every Saturday morning eating short-stacks and eggs & corn beef hash. The DeBary is my new go-to place for when I'm visiting. If you really need a gleaming Ritz Carlton, well there's one a couple of miles away (charging $500/night more), but you'll be disappointed. "This hotel is a 10/10!!! Check-in was a BREEZE. David was friendly and welcoming. The room was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was a little small however, it was perfect for us (family of 4)! It was clean and by the set up, I can tell that they care. Tables had towels neatly rolled for our use. Breakfast was great, nothing fancy but definitely fresh and clean. There was an employee constantly cleaning and making sure everything was filled for us to enjoy. I would love to return in the summer to be able to enjoy more outdoor views. "
