"The vila was perfect. Well equipped, clean and spacious. It is located 10 minutes from the port and close to the highway. The island is easily accessible from the vila. The staff (manager and housekeeper) were more than helpful. If we go back to Punts Delgada we will return to the Vilas dos Olivas without a doubt! "

"Unexpected little oasis in the city. Very comfortable suite in a beautiful setting with a pool that is lit at night. Easy to check in and leave. Very close to the centre and the major attractions. Parking was very easy as well. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Apartment had everything needed to make the stay comfortable. Some people complain about the stairs to get to the upstairs bedroom but at 63 years of age I had no problem. I would recommend this apartment to people that are looking for a place to stay. "

"Nice place and friendly owner. The pool seems hidden behind the owners house and we were never offered to use it (the pool was one of the reasons we chose the place so this was disappointing). Guard dogs were sweet but barked throughout the night so if you’re a light sleeper this could be an issue. But overall nice place. "

"We had a lovely stay at Caloura Hotel Resort.
The location is quiet, remote, and beautiful—perched on the cliffs with peaceful sea views and lush gardens. It was especially nice to be able to walk down to the ocean through the grounds.
The hotel feels very calm and relaxing, but you definitely need a car to get around.
We had a ground-floor room overlooking the pool. The room itself was fairly basic but comfortable, and it was great to have a little balcony.
The corridor outside had a strange smell when we first arrived, but the staff quickly resolved it after we mentioned it at reception.
I wish I could remember the receptionist’s name (possibly Alfonso?)—he was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay.
We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times. The food was a bit hit-and-miss, but the staff were always apologetic and clearly doing their best.
Overall, the friendliness and helpfulness of the team really made a difference and made up for anything the hotel might lack in luxury.
Lots of free parking too.
We’d happily stay again and would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful base on São Miguel."

"We loved how easy the check in was! We arrived late however we received very detailed instructions on the check in process which made it simple despite a late arrival. The staff were kind and helpful even opening breakfast early to accommodate those of use leaving early for flights. Would recommend to anyone needing an over lay accommodation or simply something just outside ponta delgada."
