The room was clean and nice but the outside of the motel was dirty, run down and unsafe in some areas. In the stairs ways the railings were torn down and dirty.

Not all Days Inns are the same!

The hotel boasted about nice rooms, comfortable beds and a pool! I found that was miss leading! Pool was closed and covered up! The door to the bathroom was splitting at the bottom from water damage and would not close. The ceiling in the shower looked as if it might fall into the tube. Cleaning took the dirty towels and returned NONE back. Breakfast was not worthy of talking about!

Reserved an accessible room and it had a bathtub with no grab bar. Wheel chair person would not be able to shower in this room. Ceiling above shower head was peeling. Room was clean but bed was uncomfortable.

This is a motel style, with each room entrance facing the outside. The room had a smoky smell. The bathroom was outdated and had mold in the corners of the bath/shower. There was no 2nd lock on the door, except the deadbolt lock. This felt unsafe. I would not choose this motel again. The staff was good.

The property is in disrepair, one of the elevators is working, the other one is operating at one third of the speed of tge first one. The TV wasn't operational, and maintenence came much later than promised, and repaired it twice. The AC unit is operating but the cover is broken. Room had three (!) table surfaces and no sitting chair, so one would have to sit on the bed. Maintenance had to replace light bulb in the he bathroom. The condition is expected from a lesser type of a property, not a Days Inn. The pool looked clean, which is a nice point.

Poor facility

The first room that they assigned the vanity light above the sink dd not operate - I went down to the desk and asked for and received a new room two doors down! Both rooms carpet and draperies were in need of repair - the 211 and 215 rooms were in need of carpet repair- the linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The proprietor did mention that the facility was undergoing repairs. Yes, from what I saw it does need renovation.

Some things in the room were updated, but not especially clean. Lots of corners overlooked and dirty. It was good price and a good distance from all the places I needed to go. Breakfast was supposed to be included but they were "closed for renovations" and I went down on my second night for coffee supplies for the room and the guy couldn't give me any. It's an old hotel, have low expectations.

Staff & Pool Were Good, But….

The only good things about our stay was that the staff were courteous and the pool looked clean. Our room had torn curtains, stains on both chairs as well as the sheets. Behind the bathroom door looked like it’s been neglected at every cleaning. There were holes in the wall where the towel bar looks to have been ripped out. We left as soon as we could the next morning after barely sleeping on throw-sized pillows and springs digging into my back.

The property is definitely run down. Elevators were broken (being fixed though), tub didn't drain in one room and the ceiling was caving in in another rooms bathroom, small rooms, NO free breakfast (false advertisement). BUT they had a decent pool. Couldn't tell you how clean it was but it was nice to have the option.

Room was fine, lamp shades were foggy but honestly it’s obvious this hotel use to not be smoke free in some rooms. Quiet in the room, clean sheets and bathroom. A hole in the wall saying ‘Kyle was here’ with a punch in it was funny and concerning. Definitely not a good family vacation hotel, please stay away from Norfolk, families. But it was fine for solo business or budget couples travel. Not the worst option if you’re trying to get to VA beach but totally not the best. Staff was friendly, and listened to any concerns. Bring a wheel lock with you as motor thefts are common.

Very dirty, no hygiene at all. The customer service was poor- the reception was playing live game on the cellphone with his friends. The room was super dirty, bedsheets and towels were uncleaned and full of black marks, and stains...etc. I have taken pictures will share.

I was upset that there was cigarette burn holes in my sheets and dirt on my sheets in my bed. I was also disappointed that there was no breakfast served when that was part of the advertised package I bought. The pool looked clean and inviting but I did not get a chance to use it. There was also a heavy odor or marijuana near the office and around the rooms.
