"This property should have a warning before booking. We expected a non-smoking property/room but what we got was a location where everywhere, I mean everywhere there was a strong smell of tobacco. If you have asthma or sensitivity to smells, you will be miserable like I was. I had throat hurt, headache, and felt bad the entire stay. The ad said that there would be sauna available, yes but for $50 price. The steakhouse restaurant wasn't great either. Room was spacious and relatively clean, staff was nice. Lastly, it was weird that you could not get anywhere without an ID."

"The Tenaya Lodge is very, very good. The staff - particularly at the front desk and the day time concierge as well as the Spa staff and restaurant servers - are excellent! Rooms are very spacious, nice ambiance, and the common areas have a lovely feel to them. Parking on site is free and very easy - also you can do valet for $15/day. Our drive to the South entrance of Yosemite was only 10 minutes. (Tenaya is about 1.5 hours from Fresno airport, easy drive.) The drive from South entrance into Yosemite Village in early May was just over an hour. If you are ok with that drive, the Tenaya is a fabulous choice for lodging. Excellent deep tissue massage at the on-site Spa. Highly, highly recommend the Tenaya! We had a really lovely stay … and the nightly s’mores were a great touch. Food and atmosphere at on-site restaurant Jackalopes were outstanding as was the service."

"Breakfast was ok. Terrible microwave eggs. And that sliced Polska sausage☹️ Could have been better. Hubby had waffle, yogurt and coffee. It was ok, nothing to write home about, but filled our tummies before we started out on our day. Room was large and clean, slightly dated. But would probably stay elsewhere. Best price in the neighborhood though. Oh , yes if you need first floor with a king bed ask ahead, they could not accommodate … no elevator, and I don’t do stairs well. AND the pool and jacuzzi was CLOSED😡. Really a deal breaker if you have kids… we did not."
