A Sunkist advertising mural was uncovered during the renovation of this building in downtown Toledo. The mural was painted sometime after Siegfried Metzger opened his wholesale fruit and vegetable company in 1923. The mural was buried in the 1940's when a two-story loading garage was added to the building. I hope to post more pictures as the restoration/recreation progresses.

"Breakfast food (eggs) tasted and looked like it was made from powered eggs. The biscuits and gravy was dry and pasty and tasted like cardboard. The shower handle kept sliding down the metal poke so I always had to hold it upright. The towels were yellow and thin and were not comfortable. The small refrigerator was loud and humming loud all night. There was no silence in the room at all. I wouldn't stay there again and I would urge others to seek a room there, also."
