Waterloo Hotel Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great 6-night stay at the Waterloo. The room was nice and clean, with a large window overlooking the greenery that could be opened wide for fresh air. The beds were comfortable, and we really liked the breakfast, especially the items made to order. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was a very good location for exploring Snowdonia, and it was nice to come back to a quiet and comfortable hotel after a day out. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again."

"During my overnight stay I found the hotel comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The rooms are of a high standard with comfortable beds. The only observation was the tiles around the bath could do with re-grouting as they were stained. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly especially as we had to arrive a little earlier than normal they were happy to accommodate us. Overall a very good experience."

"Room was very good it had a heater if you feel cold and a fan of your too warm plenty of hangers comfy bed all new furniture in the room bath towels white and fluffy no complaints breakfast all you could want all lounge seating been upholstered lovely staff very helpful"

"The staff were helpful during check-in and all of the staff were polite and efficient during our stay. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is limited car parking at rear of hotel at a charge of £10 for 24 hours."

"This is a fabulous place to stay right by Swallow falls. The rooms were very spacious, bed huge, shower amazing and set at perfect temperature. Also you don't often get conditioner in the shower/bathroom, I did here which made a nice change, I usually have to take my own. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious with a good choice on the menu. Staff very friendly, special shout out to Zoe who made us feel very welcome when we got there and throughout the stay. Lovely decor on the inside like an old coach house, would highly recommend staying here"

Celtic Royal Hotel & Spa

"We were surprised to find that guests have to pay an additional fee for parking. The building is quite old, so the ventilation wasn’t great and the room felt quite stuffy. Even though it was already the end of August, the room still felt quite warm and poorly ventilated. At night, there was also quite a lot of noise coming from the hotel kitchen downstairs, which was quite disturbing. Apart from these points, the staff were all very nice and friendly."
